Steve and Amanda's beach wedding

This gorgeous couple got married on Tamarama beach at sunrise.  A romantic setting, and a blissful start to a happy day!

Catching my breath

Ahhhh...time to relax a little before the next round of weddings starts.

I have been spending a fair amount of time looking at wedding 'pins' on Pinterest, my new FAVE hobby!  It's fun, and I'm getting heaps of ideas and saving lots of pics on my boards.  Sort of like a blog but only more addictive *sigh*.

This pic is of the beautiful bride Leilani, surveying her bridesmaids dresses before her wedding.  I made a couple of those dresses, so this is a special pic!

Beautiful Bride

Beach Wedding

Back home again after a lovely weekend catching up with my old school friends in Mullumbimby.
My Bride and Groom flew me up to do their wedding at beautiful Broken Head Beach - their special day dawned hot and clear.  The three o'clock wedding went without a hitch.
The bride looked stunning and the location was out of this world, soooo romantic, take a peek:

In celebration of my new website!

My bride-to-be daughter has updated my website as a birthday gift, and it is looking truly gorgeous!
Check me out at www.handwovenceremonies.com.au.

To follow on from my previous blog, I am finding the whole idea of being mother-of-the-bride very exciting.  And very different from being a celebrant, since the shoe is now on the other foot, so to speak!  Wedding outfit shopping is about to commence with a vengeance, as the new summer ranges hit the shops in the next few weeks.  I have been champing at the bit to get out there and have a look at what's available.  I might choose something in gorgeous hand printed silk from Wrapture (see picture left) by Anne Leon

My next wedding ceremony as a celebrant takes place in Byron Bay.  I am looking forward to being in a totally different environment for the big day.

A wedding in the family!

How exciting!  My daughter Gemma is getting married in February 2012.  I have been sitting in my study dreaming up wedding plans, I see before my eyes a gorgeous string of pennants to hang at the reception venue, so I'll be collecting paper and fabric all year.

I spent the morning collating a registry at Myer's with Gemma - what fun!
